Best Time to Visit Ibiza

Most of the famous clubs, such as DC10Amnesia, Pacha, Privilege, Ushuaïa, and Hï Ibiza open their doors at the end of May. If you already have a favourite club and a favourite party like DC10 Circoloco, then prepare yourself for their opening party dates. The closing parties are beginning from the middle of September. August is the busiest month of Ibiza. It is also extremely hot and more difficult to find a taxi or rent a car.

If you want to enjoy the island without parties and with its beautiful beaches then book a flight between October and May.

Where to Stay

You are going on a clubbing holiday. That´s why, finding a place next to the clubs is the best option.  Don´t forget that Ibiza is also a romantic destination for some couples and a popular family destination too! So, if you are coming for clubbing, check the hotel rules!

There are three perfect accommodation options:

  1. Ibiza Town/Eivissa,
  2. Playa D’en Bossa,
  3. San Antonio.

Ibiza Town and Playa d´en Bossa are next to each other and San Antonia is a little bit far away but is famous for its sunset beach cafes. So where should you stay? You can decide according to the location of your favourite club!

Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza are in Playa d’en Bossa, Pacha is in Ibiza Town, DC10 is on the road to Las Salinas beach; Amnesia and Privilege are between Ibiza Town and San Antonio, Es Paradis and Eden are in San Antonio. So, many clubs are next to Ibiza Town and Playa d´en Bossa.

I stayed at Giramundo Hostel which is located in Ibiza Town. That was the perfect location ever. Not only for clubbing, also for exploring the island.

Where to Party

Popular Parties / DJ Line Ups / Dress Code / Transport / Entrance / Prices

If it’s your first time in Ibiza, I’d suggest selecting which parties you want to go first because the best clubs of Europe are located on this island. But try to remain flexible because sometimes best nights outs are the most spontaneous ones.

You also have to know that there are some amazing parties that you can not miss like Elrow at Amnesia, Circoloco or Paradise Party at DC10. Keep your eyes open and don’t buy tickets until you’re sure where you want to party. Don´t skip to have nights off in between clubbing.

Here is my selection of the best clubs in Ibiza and all information that you need:

My favourite club in Ibiza. Why? Because it is NOT one of these commercial clubs, it is the only true underground club of island, and people who are going there go for just one reason: The MUSIC. I tell you: It has the best music. Be prepared, it will be really wild there!

Popular Parties: Circoloco on Mondays and Paradise on Wednesdays, from June to October.

DJ Line Ups: Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers, Jamie Joyce, Ellen Allien, Davide Squillace, Matthias Tanzmann, &ME, Ben Klock, Guy Gerber, Richy Ahmed, Joseph Capriati, Gerd Janson, Amelie Lens, Dubfire, Patrick Topping,  Alan Fitzpatrick, Detlef, Mark Jenkyns, Marco Carola, Ilario Alicante, Matador, Ida Engberg, Andrea Oliva, Paco Osuna, Adam Beyer, Art Department, Honey Dijon, Nicole Moudaber, Loco Dice, Green Velvet, Pan-Pot, Dense & Pika, Tale Of Us, Sasha, Infinity Ink and more.

Dress Code: There is NO dress code. You can wear anything.  They don´t care about your look. Like I said, it is an underground club but flip-flops or football shirts are not recommended.

How to get there:  You can take a taxi from Ibiza town. It will cost about 10 EUR. If you are staying in San Antonio, be ready to pay about 25 EUR.  The bus to Salinas beach stops just 5 minutes walk away from the club. However, the bus will go only until San Jordi from 21 pm, but you can walk from San Jordi until the club in about 15-20 minutes.

Prices: Circoloco and Paradise parties will cost about 50 EUR, other parties could be cheaper. Here you can buy the tickets. Pre-drink at your hostel or outside would be a better choice. A beer or water will cost you between 5-10 EUR and a vodka red bull 15 EUR.

Best Accommodation:  Ibiza Town, Playa d’en Bossa

Amnesia is often chosen as one of the best clubs in the world and one of the biggest on the island which can host over 5000 people. There are two large stages, 16 bars and an exclusive upstairs VIP terrace.

I definitely recommend you go to an Elrow party. It is one of the craziest parties I have ever been.

Popular Parties: Music on and Elrow.

Cocoon: After 18 seasons, Cocoon moved to Pacha for 2018.

DJ Line Ups: Marco Carola, Stacey Pullen, Joey Daniel, Hector Couto, Apollonia, Miss Kittin, Oxia, Paco Osuna, Carl Craig, Claude VonStroke, Derrick May, Green Velvet, Jamie Jones, Josh Wink, Lauren Lane, Monika Kruse, Pig & Dan, Steve Lawler, The Martinez Brothers, Matthias Tanzmann, Egbert, Seth Troxler, Groove Armada, Skream, Kölsch, Ida Engberg, Patrick Topping ,Claptone, Dennis Ferrer, Heidi, Camelphat, Pan-Pot,Yousef, Steve Lawler, Richy Ahmed,  Joris Voorn, Alan Fitzpatrick, Art Department, Catz’n Dogz, Doorly, Technasia und wAFF.

Dress Code: There is no dress code like the other clubs on the island. There is also no limit for crazy outfits.  If you are into costumes, it is the right place to wear it.

How to get there: Amnesia is located between San Antonio and Eivissa. Therefore, a taxi will cost about 10-15 EUR from San Antonio or Ibiza Town, and 20 EUR from Playa d’en Bossa. Disco busses also run from June until September all night long from Ibiza and Playa d’en Bossa to San Antonio and vice versa. It costs only 3 EUR (details below).

Prices: Tickets cost between 40-60 EUR. You can buy the ticket on its official website. Cocktails cost 15 EUR and a beer 13 EUR. A small water is 9 EUR. I tried to drink water from the tap, but it tasted really bad.

Best Accommodation:  Ibiza Town, San Antonio

Pacha is a must visit for tourists since it has a big reputation on the island.  There are a variety of events from underground to mainstream.

Popular Parties: F*** Me I’m Famous, Flower Power, A Labyrinth Story, Solomun + 1, Cocoon Ibiza.

Dress Code: Pascha is a little bit different from other clubs. Inside, you will see people looking fancier. But… …. you don´t have to wear fancy here though, just don’t take the risk like wearing shorts and flip-flops (ladies can wear anything!) because there is a rumor that they sometimes say no to shorts. When I was there, I didn´t see anyone with shorts.

How to get there: Taxis cost about 5-10 EUR from Ibiza Town, 15 EUR from Playa d’en Bossa, 30 EUR from San Antonio. You can also walk from Ibiza Town along the marina in about 10-15 minutes, and the disco buses run all night from June until the end of September dropping you off almost directly in front of Pacha’s door.

Prices: Tickets cost between 30-40 EUR except F*** Me I’m Famous, which costs 75 EUR. Prices increase according to popularity of the DJ. If you are a David Guetta fan or like commercial music, you have to pay more. I prefer Hot Since 82 and Sven Väth which cost only 30 EUR. You can buy the tickets on its official website. As at the other clubs, a small water costs 9 EUR. A vodka red bull costs around 15 EUR.

Best Accommodation: Ibiza Town, Playa d’en Bossa

You could guess that the world´s biggest club should be in Ibiza. Yes, it is: Privilege. It has a gigantic main stage and an amazing view of Ibiza town.  You should definitely go there, especially for Resistance party.

Popular Parties: RESISTANCE, SupermartXé, IAmARichBitch, Shine Ibiza.

DJ Line Ups: Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Carl Cox, Nic Fanciulli, Maceo Plex, Dubfire, Nicole Moudaber, Paco Osuna, Sasha, ANNA, Charolette De Witte, Enrico Sangiuliano, Ida Engberg, Joris Voorn, Stephan Bodzin, and more.

How to get there: Taxis cost around 10-15 EUR from Ibiza Town and, 15-20 EUR from Playa D’en Bossa and San Antonio. Disco buses run all night from Ibiza and Playa d’en Bossa to San Antonio and vice versa.

Prices: Entrance costs between 30-60 EUR. Click here to buy tickets. A vodka red bull costs around 15 EUR.

Best Accommodation: Ibiza Town

Many biggest names played at this club although it was opened in 2017. I personally prefer Eric Prydz and Afterlife parties but if you are into commercial music, Armin van Buuren is also playing there every week.  So, it includes all sides of the musical spectrum, including EDM, trance, deep house and techno.

Popular Parties: Armin van Buuren, Eric Prydz, Afterlife, Glitterbox and Black Coffee.

How to get there: If you are staying in Playa D’en Bossa, you can walk only in 15-20 minutes. Taxis cost around 10 EUR from Ibiza Town, and 25-30 EUR from San Antonio, and of course disco buses all night long.

Prices: Entrance is between 25-50 EUR. Click here to buy tickets. Drinks: Vodka red bull around 15 EUR, beer 12 EUR.

Best Accommodation: Playa d’en Bossa

It is one of the most famous and commercial clubs of Ibiza. Many famous and mainstream DJs are playing there. Different than other clubs, Ushuaïa opens around 5 pm in the afternoon and closes at midnight.

Ushuaïa has a fabulous pool area and rooftop lounge terrace with amazing views over the island.

Popular Parties: David Guetta’s BIG, Martin Garrix, Kygo, and Ants.

How to get there: If you are staying in Playa D’en Bossa. you can walk only in 15-20 minutes. Taxis cost around 10 EUR from Ibiza Town, and 25-30 EUR from San Antonio, and of course disco buses all night long.

Tickets for the most famous parties range from 30 to 80 EUR. It is really worth it. You will have your best night out there! Remember that it is cheaper, safer, and easier to buy your tickets online on the official website of the clubs.

A vodka red bull will cost around 15 EUR in a club and in pre-club bars. A beer will cost 12 EUR, and a small water 9 EUR.  That´s why I would suggest you buy your drink at supermarket or at kiosk just for the half price, maybe even less. As a solution for water, you can drink much for the whole night before you go to the club. I tried to drink from tap in the club, it was really bad.

Dress Code

Yes, there is no dress code in the main clubs of Ibiza. Everything is relaxed and cool on this island. It is so unlikely to be refused entry. You can just be yourself and wear what you want. As a woman, you can wear anything, and as a man, you can also wear what you want, but it is better not to wear flip-flops.

If you’re going to Pacha, or any VIP in Ibiza it’s recommended to dress a little bit nicer, and for men it’s advisable not to wear shorts. Like I said before, Pacha is a little bit different from other clubs. Inside, you will see people look fancy. But… …. you don´t have to have a fancy look there though, just don’t take the risk like wearing shorts and flip-flops. When I was there, I didn´t see anyone with shorts. Anyway, it’s generally relaxed in Ibiza!

Avoiding the Queue

The clubs open mostly at 24:00 and continue through the night until 6 am. That means that people go around 2 am and there can be most probably a queue. I should say I never waited for getting in the club because I bought my tickets online. Besides, the security never checked my ID or bag.

Buying tickets online will make your night so comfortable. You will not wait in the queue and buy probably cheaper than the tickets on the door. The best and easiest way of buying a ticket is the official website of the clubs!

The alcohol prices are super expensive. Therefore, I recommend you buy your drinks at supermarket or kiosk. If you decide to drink alcohol, be careful! Because I met many people who lost their phones or other belongings. Besides, there are many pickpockets. I have catched a girl who tried to open my bag two times in Amnesia and my friend´s wallet has been stolen there.

Just remember to consume carefully and to travel back by disco bus or taxi.

Disco Buses

I am personally not a fan of disco bus since it can be really crowded. However, if you want to travel on budget like paying only 3 EUR for the bus and want to arrive wherever you want, such as DC10, Pacha, Amnesia, Privilege, Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza, disco bus is the best transport for you! The buses run from June until September every half an hour all night long and drop you off just in front of these clubs. Get ready for this crazy and wild bus and don´t forget what happens on the disco bus, stays on the disco bus! For more information about disco busses, click here.
